About TAMSO

First, TAMSO is truly a school owner’s association; a very democratic organization with each member school having only ONE VOTE, regardless of the size of the school, the number of graduates or students, or number of locations. Our bylaws clearly state this. This is the only way that the needs of the industry can be met while clearly giving an equal “place at the table” to each member, regardless of the size of her/his school. 

Second, TAMSO makes clear that if massage education is your mainstay, this association is for you. We are interested in uniting those massage schools for a common purpose: to do what is best for the massage therapy profession while protecting the interests of privately owned massage schools. 

Third, TAMSO has a desire and responsibility to be pro-active in the legislature. Privately owned massage schools ARE the future of the massage profession. With other groups wanting to cash in on all of our hard work and dedication to this great profession, we MUST be pro-active on the legislative front. 

Fourth, TAMSO has a desire and commitment to support all member schools with informational seminars, member materials such as a code of ethics and certificate of membership, and assistance with marketing by offering member schools a listing on the TAMSO website.
